The girl in the little red cloak takes us on a journey down Gitana Street, leaving her gypsy life behind for a life on the stage.
A paper cut illustration of a journey to ‘The Stage Door’ with a nod to performer Gertie Gitana 1887-1957 – commonly billed as The Staffordshire Cinderella for her petite form + supposed gypsy origins.

About Me
Nikita Faie is an artist, opera singer, singer songwriter + storyteller from seaside town Broadstairs. Faie uses organic, neutral tones + textures in her visual artwork + is inspired by sustainability, nature, home + childhood.
Faie is currently developing her illustrations for her children’s books ‘Mama Chumpling + the Chumply Choos’ into paper cut scenes to bring her stories to life.
