Appetite is making things happen in the Borough of Newcastle and city of Stoke-on-Trent. We’re in the process of developing projects to inspire and excite people to think differently about the arts and what it can do for people and places like ours.
Our work is about making the arts accessible to as many people as possible by creating opportunities with people from the area. To make more happen, and to shape ideas we’re now looking for people to volunteer to be a part of the programme.
Are you interested in making things happen or having your say about what we do?
We have a number of ways:
- Join our Stoke-on-Trent Supper Club and work with us to shape The Big Feast and more…
- Join our new group for our exciting Newcastle town centre high street project, Newcastle Common
- Join our other new groups we’ll be developing for Kidsgrove, Keele and other areas of interest or geography
- Become an Arts Ambassador (working title) – by sharing offers, information and more with your network
- Become a volunteer at our Newcastle Common shop space or at our events
Some of what you’ll be asked to do, depending on how you’d like to be involved:
- Bring yourself and your enthusiasm to the project
- Be an advocate for the work
- Review proposals with the Appetite team and partners
- Be a part of discussions that help us make decisions
- Be part of the programme and participate in our evaluation
What you get:
- Exclusive access to artists and events we present and commission
- Opportunities to visit people and places outside of the area to bring back ideas, share learning and be inspired
- Provided with any training that your involvement requires
- Support from the Appetite team
What you need to get started:
- Enthusiasm for connecting with people, the area and making good things happen
- Age 16+
