Looking to try something different and gain new skills? Join the Appetite Volunteer Team!
Our Volunteer family are at the heart of all we do. From being a friendly face for the public on event days, to prep and handing out posters beforehand, we couldn’t make the magic happen without them. And we’re always looking for more enthusiastic people to join us and be part of something special.
Volunteering with Appetite is not a one-size-fits-all experience, and there are no onerous commitments. We have strong values of inclusivity and accessibility, and our volunteer opportunities reflect that. We will only ever ask you to be involved in helping with roles that are within your skill set, suitable for your physical abilities, and to your comfort level. But if you’d like to branch out and develop new skills and increase your confidence, we can support you with that too. And you can choose to be involved as often as you like, whenever you can. You are always in control of your Appetite volunteer experience.
If you’re interested in a chat with our Volunteer Coordinator, Emma, drop them a line to volunteering@appetite.org.uk or call us on 01782 381373 with your details, and they will get back to you.
You may also be interested in our Ambassador Scheme where you can help us to spread the word about what we have coming up in the communities where you live, groups you are part of or online.
Both our ambassadors and volunteers get perks such as social events or trips to other arts events as a thank you for your help.
And if you’re still not sure, listen to our volunteers telling you why you should join them in the video below. We hope to see you soon!

Looking for even more ways you in can volunteer in Stoke-on-Trent? Our friends at Culture Volunteer North Staffordshire bring together volunteers with local arts and culture organisations who have micro-volunteering opportunities.
Culture Volunteer treat every volunteer as an individual. They take into account all your requirements and help to remove potential barriers you may face when it comes to volunteering.
What does micro-volunteering look like?
Unlike some volunteer roles where you need might need to commit to a regular schedule of attendance, micro-volunteering are one-time opportunities are for a single event or shift. For example, you can choose to do a single four-hour slot at Ford Green Hall and, when you’ve done four hours, your session is complete. You don’t then have to repeat that session on a regular basis.
If you wish to do more hours you can. You can also volunteer across several different organisations and choose to volunteer only at those events that suit you.
You can contact Culture Volunteer or more information on culturevolunteerns@gmail.com
