I’ve never been to the New Vic Theatre before, how do I get there by car?
Use ST5 0JG to locate the theatre on your device – check it’s directing you to Etruria Road in Basford.
We are located just two minutes from the A500 – the main route through the area connecting to routes into the city from all directions, including the M6, A53, A52, A50 and A34.
Where can I park?
Onsite parking is available at the theatre (a charge of £2.20 applies from 6.00pm). Please note: card payment only (or you can pay by cash at the Box Office)
On busy performances where our car park is full, alternative parking is available on King Street Car Park, approx. a 5 minute walk from the theatre; charges apply.
As we are located in a residential area, we kindly ask customers to park in the recommended car parks and not on adjacentstreets to minimise inconvenience to our neighbours.
Blue Badge holders can arrange to reserve a space in our car park, free of charge.
Spaces are limited and pre-booking is essential. Please call our Box Office Team on 01782 717962 to reserve your space.
Reserved free parking for coaches can also be arranged – call Box Office for details.
Can I get the bus to the theatre?
Stoke-on-Trent train station is a 10-minute drive from the theatre, and has services connecting to Birmingham, Manchester, Derby, Stafford, Crewe and London. There is a taxi rank directly outside the train station entrance.
First Potteries bus routes 4 and 4a, serving Newcastle and Hanley, stop directly outside the theatre, a short walk to our main entrance.
Are there toilets at the New Vic?
Yes! There are toilets on the ground and first floor of the theatre. Accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities can be found on both floors. Gender neutral toilets can be found on the ground floor to the right of the box office when you enter the building.
Will there be photography and filming on the day?
Photography and filming will take place during this event. If you prefer not to be photographed, please speak to a member of staff.
Can I bring my dog to the New Vic?
Assistance dogs can be taken into the auditorium, but please tell the Box Office when booking your seat that you are bringing your dog. Please mention this when booking and we can allocate suitable seats. Alternatively you can leave your dog with a member of staff in the foyer and we can arrange for a bowl of water for them. Again please let us know in advance if you wish you wish us to provide this service.
If you are coming along to the Family Day, assistance dogs are welcome inside the New Vic Theatre.
If you have any more questions ahead of the event, you can email us on askus@appetite.org.uk or call us on 01782 381373.
