Appetite have created an event called Seasonal Specials in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre – also called Hanley. There are three things happening. Find out about these below.
Season Specials: Shimmer Tree by Dan Fox
When is it?
Sat 24 Oct – Wed 28 Oct | Starts at 12pm and Ends at 8pm each day | Just drop in
Where is it?
Stoke-on-Trent City Centre – also called Hanley. Find it near Hanley Bus Station.
What is it?
Shimmer Tree is a big sound and light sculpture in the shape of a tree that is moved by the wind. You can walk underneath it to listen and watch to sounds.
When it gets dark, Shimmer Tree lights up and makes patterns around the tree.
Seasonal Specials: CHORUS by Ray Lee
When is it?
Sat 24 Oct – Wed 28 Oct at 12pm – 7pm every day
It lasts 25 mins
Where is it?
Stoke-on-Trent City Centre – also called Hanley. Find it in Albion Sq, near to the B&M.
What is it?
Chorus is made of giant metal towers. At the end of each arm speakers play musical pitches which might relax you.
You can walk around them and see and hear the different sounds and lights.
The show is 25 mins long and starts at the beginning of each hour. (at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm)
Seasonal Specials: The Three Counties Cubes
When is it?
Sat 24 Oct – Sun 21 Nov. Its is open 24 hours a day.
Where is it
In Stoke-on-Trent City Centre – also called Hanley. You will find it on Stafford Street near HSBC.
What is it?
These are 4 huge cubes with art shown on the sides of them. The art is from winners of a competition ran by Appetite and ArtsKeele. The Cubes will light up when it gets dark and you can come and see them any time of the day.
How to be COVID-Safe:
- There will be only a small audience at the installations, to make sure there is space to social distance.
- Please stay in your household bubble and socially distance at all time.
- Please wear your mask when you are seeing Seasonal Specials.
- Please use the hand sanitiser that you will find at the installations when visiting
