It’s All About The Road by Dan Thompson
Following the culmination of his yearlong residency in London Road with Appetite community hub Second Look Stoke, hear social artist and writer Dan Thompson reading from his new book Its All About the Road at Roundabout.
What connects Northern Soul, the artist Augustus Pugin, the most reproduced work of art in the history of the world, a vampire, a forgotten canal, the whale that swallowed Jonah, and a million lost golf balls? The history of Stoke, from the Ice Age to 30 years in the future, told through stories collected from London Road. Starting with glacial boulders, following one road and ending with the story of how we still make things in England.
Hear extracts from this fascinating new book from the writer himself.
