Appetite are bringing FREE family pop-up fun to your park!
Hello! We are Appetite and this August we are bringing something very special to your local park.
What is it?
Appetite are thrilled to be working with Aspire to bring you an afternoon of shows to watch and workshops to try your hand at, no need to book just drop-in. This FREE afternoon is for everyone to enjoy, young and old alike. Be wowed by Roll Up Roll Up, a show that combines circus and hip hop with a cyr wheel. Lance Moi En L’Air perform a heartful acrobatic dance exploring the connection between two people. Be mesmerized acrobatic movement in Catch Me by circus company Upswing. Take part in a Bridge workshop and have a go at building your own self-supporting bridge. Plus take part in a Family Fun Photography Treasure Hunt: practice your photography skills and explore your local area – bring along your camera phone or use one of our disposable cameras.
Plus come and MEET and TALK to us. Find out what else Appetite have going on and maybe how you can be involved.
Most of the shows will also have Audio Description so everyone can enjoy them. Pop along and use one of our free Audio Description kits to take part.

Why?
We know the past year has been difficult for lots of people so wanted to bring you a bit of fun and joy during the summer holidays. We have worked with Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council & Aspire to make sure our plans abide by government guidelines and are COVID-Safe.
Who are Appetite?
Appetite is an arts programme led by New Vic Theatre whose mission is to get more people in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent to have exciting arts experiences on their doorsteps. You may have seen us last December when we brought Projector Bikes to your streets. Learn more at: www.appetite.org.uk
Photography and Film
We love to capture reactions so will be taking photographs, capturing the afternoon in action. We may capture people that are enjoying our activities so if you don’t want to be in a photograph do let our Stewards know – they will have Appetite T-shirts on or you can contact us via the email above. We will use the photos on our social media to show people what we do

The Appetite programme is funded through National Lottery by Arts Council England and is led by the New Vic Theatre in partnership with Partners in Creative Learning, 6Towns Radio, Staffordshire University, Newcastle Business Improvement District (BID), Go Kidsgrove and Keele University. Appetite also works closely with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Newcastle Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council and Aspire Housing.
