Polish off your dancing shoes and join in with The Ragroof Players Tea Dance, a fantastic event featuring DJs playing authentic music from the 1920s to 1950s, vintage costumes, glorious dance displays, the company’s trademark instant dance classes, and a chance for everyone to trip the light fantastic!

Lullaby by Luke Jerram

From the artist who created 2014’s piano perfect Play Me, I’m Yours, comes Lullaby, an extraordinary mass participatory night time bike ride.

During a week in September a parade of illuminated bikes, decorated and rode by local people will carry ambient music, a lullaby, through the sleepy streets of Stoke-on-Trent.

Witness the parade fly past your house from your front porch or from out of your bedroom window. This is an extraordinary event not to be missed.

“Curtains were opened and many people waved as we passed. We even had a round of applause from one family. Some children ran after the bikes waving their own light sticks, whilst others just stood with their mouths open, smiling.” Luke Jerram

Lullaby will be taking place during 6-10 September 2015 to coincide with the Tour of Britain leg in Stoke on Trent.

The rides will take place in the local areas below. Exact routes are to be confirmed shortly.

The Lullaby ride will take place from 7:30 to 8:30pm each night. Listen out for the music and keep your eyes peeled for this glowing bike parade!

When you think “ballet” you may imagine glamorous opera houses, fancy set, magical costumes and classical music. In true Corey Baker Dance fashion however, choreographer Corey Baker works with Birmingham Royal Ballet soloist William Bracewell to radically alter this idea. Corey Baker brings one of the finest dancers off the main stage and into the outdoors of Albion Square, Hanley, infusing the classical classics with electronic and dub, to create this exciting and innovative work.

Expect the unexpected as ballet becomes up close and personal leaping out to audiences on the street.This will indeed be something different.
