Magna Mysteria – Appetite, Stoke
Maria Morrelini has disappeared. The last time you saw her you were in the audience watching as she and her sisters performed their act. You watched as she stepped through the mirror on stage and disappeared. She hasn’t been seen since.
Magna Mysteria is an interactive experience adopting several different performance techniques, gateways and spaces. It takes the audience on a journey, infiltrating their consciousness and teasing them with conflicting stories.
The performance begins with the audience collecting their tarot card from the Fortune Telling Machine, and then unravels. Age-old stories emerge from out of nowhere, mysterious characters tell conflicting tales, and the audience choose who, or what, to believe. It’s not a game, there’s no right or wrong, but there are many paths, and no one will experience Magna Mysteria in the same way.
Magna Mysteria takes place on your phone via text messages and phone calls, in hidden locations around the town and online via twitter. Keep all methods of communication open and always look in the least obvious places.
Oh, and one final piece of advice: Always keep your arms where you can see them.
