As part of Appetite’s professional development scheme The Kitchen, Birmingham based company Tinbox Theatre are back in Stoke developing a new nature inspired piece of theatre for Stoke on Trent’s parks …
In this Moment Sharing Day
Do you live in Stoke? Do you live nearby Park Hall Country Park? Do you have a stories and memories to share about the park?
Then Tin Box Theatre need you!
Tin Box Theatre are creating In This Moment, a 30 minute storytelling and puppetry performance for outdoor parks and spaces in Stoke, with two performers, a parachute and a large-scale puppet. The project is supported by Appetite Stoke’s Kitchen programme. This piece responds to our tendency to rush from place to place and encourages people to slow down, look at the world around them, and listen to its stories. We are interested in layers of history which form over time in one particular place and how we can bring to life memories (real and imagined) of people who have been there.
But they need your help! To really root the piece within Stoke they need your stories to help them create the piece.
If you have a story you would like you share then pop along to their stand at Park Hall’s May Day Event. Whether it be an old photograph you would like to donate to our memories wall, or a story you would like to chat to them about over a cup of tea, or a few lines about what that place means to you now, then they would love for you to pop along!
