Be inspired with this sci-fi dance style workshop hosted by the creators of Future Cargo taking place in the Workspace of the New Vic Theatre on Saturday 2 July 2pm to 4pm.
In this 2 hour workshop, Requardt & Rosenberg, creators of Future Cargo, will share the inner workings of their creative process. Requardt & Rosenberg will draw on reoccurring themes of their work: proximity; audience perspective; the juxtaposition of the miniature and the colossal; and surprise.
Centred around the dance routine that has been created for Future Cargo, this workshop aims to take something that already exists and create something new. Frauke Requardt (Co-Director of Future Cargo) and Valentina Formenti (Dance Captain) will teach material from Future Cargo and encourage a playful exploration of the possibilities of the dance phrases.
They will look at the creative treatment of the movement material and feedback, looking at ways of further developing the material and sharing dance phrases in response to different environments.
This workshop is a Pay What You Decide activity.
