This year Stoke-on-Trent City Council are doing things a little differently in the city centre over the festive season with a little support from Appetite – so, why not come along and join in the fun?
Five themed late night shopping events in the city centre…
Join the time-travelling Victorian trio, ‘The Gaslights’ and their Robot ‘Albot’ as they switch on the Christmas lights. Take a camel ride through the city centre, meet the Penguin Family, chat to the Artic Explorers, take on the Two Wise Men and their tests of wisdom. Pet Real Reindeers, be amazed by Musical Ruth, witness traditional leek dancing by Wolfegang Glochenspiel from Leather-Hosen-Land, experience the dance of the Sugar Plump Fairies and get Christmas tree decorating advice from Holly and Ivy plus much more…

Souk-on-Trent (4 – 30 December)
Old Hall Street in the city centre will be transformed in to a little slice of Marrakesh with the arrival of a Moroccan Market. The market will be operating from 4 November to 30 December 2013, offering a range of delights from North Africa including, teapots, ceramics, jewellery boxes, lamps and supple camel-leather goods. Perfect for a bit of Christmas present inspiration!

The market will run from 9am – 7pm Monday to Saturday (late night Thursday until 8.30pm) and 10am – 5pm on Sundays.

With a fantastic late night shopping offering, Moroccan Market and over 40 street theatre and musical acts throughout the 5 themed late night shopping events – they have Christmas in the city centre all wrapped up!
