Calling all moshers, headbangers, dancers and ravers of Stoke – we want to hear from YOU!
Appetite and The Sugarmill are looking for Stokie music lovers to share memories, photos and memorabilia from gigs and live concerts in your local gig-venues to be shared in our new outdoor exhibition coming to Stoke-on-Trent City Centre this August: Bangers & Mosh.
We want to see your photos, your ticket stubs, your posters and the merch you bought. We want to hear your stories of musical nostalgia from across the city.
Did you fall in-love with a band in a local venue? Perhaps you saw a household name before they made it big? Maybe you met someone at a show who became important to you?
We want to hear your stories of riffs, raves and reminiscing.
Got something you’d like to share in the exhibition? Here’s how:
- Submit your images (of your gig photos and memorabilia) and memories to stokemusicmemories@gmail.com during June (as soon as you can) and we’ll be in-touch.
- Go along to one of our Bangers & Mosh drop-in sessions so we can digitise your memorabilia and photos ready for the exhibition. These sessions will be at Music Mania, 3-6 Piccadilly, Hanley on Saturday 19, Wednesday 23 and Saturday 26 June, 10am – 3pm. Please bring your photographs, posters, merchandise and ticket stubs with you. If possible please drop an email to stokemusicmemories@gmail.com to let us know you are coming. Otherwise just drop in and we’ll see you there.
Please submit as soon as possible during June to be featured. Final deadline for email submissions: Friday 25 June
