A smiling lady is in the open and looks to be mid-performance, engaging with people off-camera. She is in a stunningly vibrant costume of floor-length dress and long, flowing headscarf. The base colour of these pieces is black but they are highly adorned with trim, beads, tassels and stitching in pink, turquoise, orange and white. She has a beaded choker at her neck and both arms are adorned with lots of bangles. She is holding a large green pot under her left arm, while her right arm is extended to the unseen crowd. To her right is a large, naive puppet of a bird made from black fabric with brown feathers attached and a wooden beak. The background is blurred but you can see a few people sitting and standing in the audience, plus the edge of an orange, red, and yellow fabric tent with two men in colourful Indian dress outside.
