Cutting edge dance company Candoco explore how we can fall in and out of love in this romantic duet set to collection of pop songs and choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing’s Arlene Philipps!
Candoco, the contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers, twists perceptions of what dance is, who can dance and who can experience it. This new duet flirts with sentimentality, and throws out the rulebook to inspire audiences to challenge their expectations of what dance can be.
From the ballroom to the Brit Awards, Arlene Phillips has been a trailblazer in choreographing for popular dance genres for over 40 years. Candoco is delighted to have commissioned Phillips to collaborate with company dancers, Joel Brown and Laura Patay, in this new duet.
‘Love is an emotion we can all identify with and in this duet we will be inviting the audience to explore its complexities and how our daily routines can sometimes shape our relationships.’ Arlene Phillips
