Birders Paradise by Anna Francis & Andrew Branscombe at Stoke Pride

Birders Paradise by Anna Francis & Andrew Branscombe at Stoke Pride

A Birder is different from a Twitcher. While Twitchers will travel miles to see an exotic or rare bird type, Birders are much more interested in spending time with the wildlife and creatures that surround them in their daily lives.

Anna Francis and Andrew Branscombe have created a mobile research lab ‘Birder’s Paradise’, which can travel to open spaces around Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire, to gather data, identify species and deliver activities and events which create a dialogue with residents and users of the sites about wildlife in their local area.

The mobile lab will provide a base to host conversations, make observations and develop artistic responses along the way.

They will be visiting places to research the local wildlife and create new artwork.

The mobile lab will also be hosting drop-in sessions for people in the area.

The first will be Sat 9 August as part of Stoke Pride. Come in to visit.

Look out for their modified caravan!
