The Hidden Music of Trees by Jason Singh

Two people are outdoors. One is holding their phone up to a red plaque attached to a tree.

Location: Cherry Tree Walk is located at location 4 on our What on Earth?! event map.

Times: 11am – 4pm. Drop-by whenever!

Date: Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 April

Come along and experience music that has been generated entirely by trees! The Hidden Music of Trees is an outdoor sound experience created by sound artist Jason Singh. The sounds have been created through the interface of mobile phones and a free downloadable app called Artivive.

Instructions

Simply download the Artivive app from the App Store or Google Play. The app is free and doesn’t require any registration.

Open the Artivive app and then point your mobile phone at the symbol attached to the tree to bring the unique tree soundscape to life!

For the best experience of the tree soundscapes use headphones but you can also use the speaker of your mobile phone.

If you’re not using headphones, make sure your phone volume is turned up.
