- Some of the performances taking place may include triggering content. Here are some details regarding performances:
Playful Peasants
They are extremely friendly and curious, however their masks can sometimes be overwhelming for audience members, and so they always approach with delicacy and friendliness, and if any audience member shows discomfort or is triggered by the masks then the Playful Peasants will keep their distance and move on.
Stilt walking knights
The knights are are unscripted/improvisational character actors with no triggering content. Although they have lances and shields, they are mostly used as props/for photographs rather than to act out anything that could be considered violent and therefore triggering
Medieval Football and combat displays
Our actors will put on combat displays and a game of medieval football for you. They’re all trying to win, but all the fighting will be pretend, and everyone has practiced not hurting each other. The town guard will come and arrest those that they can catch! One brave man will try and fight off the guards, but will be thrown clean through a market stall! Don’t worry, they’re a trained pro wrestler in real life, they do this for fun!
Shire court
Our actors will show you that medieval justice wasn’t just brutal violence (though we might get a little bit!). You’ll see the footballers tried, a coin clipper face great danger as the judge decides if she deserves mercy, a lord make a very bad decision and more.
