Appetite understands that this is a challenging time for everyone and this includes the very particular circumstances of all those working in the arts and culture sector in our area. In these challenging times, we’d like to be useful, to support you where we are able and to share our experience and expertise.
Support for Artists
Arts Council England’s Emergency Response Package is available for individuals as well as organisations: https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/covid19. The support for individuals has two deadlines – midday, 16 April 2020 (register on Grantium by 13 April) and midday, 30 April 2020 (register on Grantium by 27 April). You can access the comprehensive guidance and begin the application process (first round opening 9 April) here.
We Can Help
If you are an artist, creative or otherwise working in arts and culture, based in Stoke-on-Trent or Newcastle-under-Lyme that has been affected by Covid-19 and thinking of applying to ACE, Appetite can help. Particularly if you have not applied to Arts Council England before, if you have questions about setting up a Grantium profile (ACE’s application portal) or accessing Arts Council England support, we’re pleased to be offering 1-1 phone or Zoom calls.
We can also support with future planning of activity, sharing digital content or just offer a sounding board, whatever feels useful at this time.
We can also support community groups and other non-arts organisations to consider how you might develop arts programmes now and in the future. Please let us know if you’d like to pick up or start a conversation.
To arrange a phone or Zoom call: email us at askus@appetitestoke.co.uk with the following details: name, brief overview of creative or community practice and the key questions/areas you would like to talk with us about. We will get back to you to arrange a suitable time.
Depending on the level of interest, we will aim to get back to you within 3 days for support with Arts Council England’s Grantium and two weeks for other enquiries. Please understand that we are a small team of just two. This is a rolling opportunity, there is no deadline.
