Access Guidance at The Homecoming

Appetite’s aim is to make The Homecoming accessible to everyone. We’re putting a number of things in place to help do this.

  • An Easy Read version of The Homecoming programme information is available here.
  • The event takes place mainly outdoors in the town centre – each of the performance areas will be wheelchair accessibleand the acts can be easily viewed
  • There will be benches in each of the performance areas
  • A schedule will be available from volunteers and dotted across the town centre on lamposts
  • Public toilets including accessible toilets are available on Hassell St opposite the bus station, 9:30am-4pm.
  • Volunteer Stewards and staff will be on hand to answer any questions or queries you may have
  • Ear protectors are available at the event for audience members who want them – please just speak to one of our Stewards or staff on the day. 
  • There are First Aiders onsite should you need their help. If you require their assistance, just speak to a Steward.
